Literary Focus ( Question 5)

Before the characters and author got onto the bus, they were smiling and waving, but when they got onto their bus, their expressions changed immediately. They all became very quiet, (except for a group of university students) concentrated, kind of sad and angry, even annoyed. Like how the author described in her autobiography, " when our bus turned a corner and we no longer had to smile and wave, we settled back gravely in our seats." When they come to the end of their journey, they felt surprise and angry. Because they saw the place that they would have to live in.
